Shifting Tides: Preparing for a Changing Tomorrow

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages has always been a dynamic field, but now more than ever, we are called upon to adapt to changing times. This year’s conference theme of Shifting Tides: Preparing for a Changing Tomorrow recognizes these changes.

This year’s conference will be held on October 27th at Renton Technical College, in Renton, WA.  We are pleased to announce that 2018 National Teacher of the Year, Mandy Manning, will deliver our conference keynote.

 Call for Proposals is now open.  Submission Deadline: September 4th.

Conference Registration is now open.

Pre-Conference Workshops will take place on Friday afternoon, October 26, 2018. These  half-day professional development workshops (1:00 to 4:00) are designed to provide opportunities to discuss and examine relevant topics and important issues in greater depth.

Become a WAESOL member now or during registration.  As a member, in addition to discounted conference registration,  you are also eligible to apply for Grants, Awards, and Scholarships.

K-12 Clock Hours will be available for each day.
