Thank you for your willingness to share your time and expertise with the educational community at our 2022 conference. Below is some important information to help your presentation go smoothly. Please share this information with co-presenters if applicable.
Things to Do and Know Before the Conference:
- All presenters and co-presenters must register for the conference.
- Be sure to accept the invitation from the SCHED platform and log-in to
- update your profile
- make your profile viewable to the public
- upload any resources, handouts, etc. for your session via the speaker tools
- Verify the time and location for your session on SCHED Platform. This provides the most up to date information for the conference. LINK to WAESOL 2022 SCHED Platform
For Online Sessions
- Ensure that you have the most current updates from ZOOM on your computer.
- The zoom link for your session will be on the SCHED platform schedule. You must be logged in to SCHED in order to access the link.
- Each session will have a Room Host from WAESOL who will open the session and let in attendees from the waiting room.
- On the day of the conference, 10 minutes prior to the start of your session, please go to your session on the schedule and click on the link labeled “Open Zoom” from the SCHED platform. You will be asked to enter your name and email address. YOU MUST be logged in to SCHED to access the links.
- Prior to letting in the attendees from the waiting room, the room host will give you hosting ability and ensure that you can be heard and that your slides can be seen.
- At the start time for the session, the room host will let in attendees and will continue to admit people from the waiting room.
- A short feedback option will be available to your attendees via the SCHED platform.
For In Person Sessions at Highline College
- Bring your presentation on a USB drive. The college has asked that presenters NOT plug in their personal laptops to the projectors in the rooms.
- On the day of the conference, check-in at the presenter registration table to confirm your presence and pick up log-in information for the classroom computers.
- Be sure to pick up your name badge at the table.
- Check-in, Keynote, Exhibitors, and Lunch will take place in building 8, the Student Union. Sessions will be in building 8 and building 22. (See Highline Campus Map)
- Please note, WAESOL does not reimburse presenters for expenses.
- A short feedback option will be available to your attendees via the SCHED platform.
In Person Room and Technology Information:
- You may view your room any time after 8 a.m. prior to 10:30 a.m. when the first sessions start.
- If you choose to rearrange the furniture in your room, please return it back to its original location for the next presenter.
- Please bring your presentation on a USB drive and use the classroom computers.
- Classroom Computer log-in information will be provided when you pick up your badge at the Presenter Check-in table.
